ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the 1908 Summer Olympics, London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program (figure skating), short program and the free skating program. Stephen Gogolev (born December 22, 2004) is a Canadian figure skater. He is the 2019 Canadian national silver medallist. Gogolev is the 2018 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, the 2018 JGP Slovakia champion, the 2019 JGP U.S. silver medallist, the 2020 Bavarian Open junior champion, and the 2017 Canadian junior national champion. Wesley Chiu (born March 20, 2005) is a Canadian figure skater. He is a two-time Canadian national bronze medalist (2022–23). He placed fourth at the 2022 World Junior Championships and won two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix, including gold at the 2021 JGP France II. Jason Chan (born 12 August 1996) is a Canadian- Australian ice dancer who currently represents Australia. With partner Holly Harris, he is the 2019 Australian national senior champion. With former partner Valérie Taillefer he was the 2014 Canadian novice dance champion. Career Early career In 2011, Chan trained in Montreal with Valérie Taillefer, competing at the pre-novice level in the Canadian national skating championships in Regina. At the novice level at the 2014 Canadian Championships, the pair won the gold medal.
