2022 Madrid Summit
The 2022 Madrid summit was 31st summit of the heads of state and heads of government of the thirty members of the NATO, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), their partner countries, and the European Union, held in Madrid, Spain, on 29–30 June 2022. IFEMA
IFEMA (short for ''Institución Ferial de Madrid; "''Fair Institution of Madrid") is an entity charged with the organisation of fairs, halls and congresses in their facilities in Madrid. It is a consortium partnered by the City Council of Madrid, Ayuntamiento de Madrid (31 %), the regional administration of the Government of the Community of Madrid, Community of Madrid (31 %), the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry (31 %) and the Montemadrid Foundation. The first fair organised by Ifema took place in 1980. Until then Madrid did not celebrate fairs, as it was a privilege reserved to cities such as Valencia or Barcelona. Initially IFEMA had facilities in the Paseo de la Castellana and the Casa de Campo, but as it grew bigger, new facilities were opened in the Campo de las Naciones near the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, Barajas Airport in 1991. Madrid Pride, popularly known in Spanish as the Orgullo Gay de Madrid or La Noche de Patos and its acronym MADO, is the annual LGBT pride festival hosted at Chueca neighbourhood in the centre of Madrid, during the weekend immediately after June 28, International Day of LGBT Pride. The celebration usually begins Wednesday afternoon with the popular announcement at Chueca Square, carried out by notorious public figures, and ends on Sunday, after the parade of claiming floats that takes place on Saturday. Katrín Jakobsdóttir (; born 1 February 1976) is an Icelandic former politician who served as the prime minister of Iceland from December 2017 to April 2024 and was a member of the Althing for the Reykjavík North constituency from 2007 to 2024. Jonas Gahr Støre (; born 25 August 1960) is a Norwegian politician who has served as the prime minister of Norway since 2021. He has been Leader of the Labour Party since 2014. Gitanas Nausėda (; ; born 19 May 1964) is a Lithuanian politician, economist, and banker who is serving as the ninth and incumbent president of Lithuania since 2019. Born in Klaipėda, Nausėda graduated from Vilnius University with an economics degree in 1987. He was director of monetary policy at the Bank of Lithuania from 1996 to 2000 and chief economist to the chairman of SEB bankas from 2008 to 2018.
