2021 VBA Season
The 2021 VBA season was the sixth season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The regular season began on 10 July but was canceled on 27 August due to a new surge of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. The season was scheduled to start on 4 June, with the regular season and postseason set to be played in bubbles in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. However, the start was postponed due to a surge of the Delta variant of COVID-19. Teams All seven teams from the 2020 season returned. The Vietnam national team was added as the eighth team to help prepare for the 2021 SEA Games. Venues and locations Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all games were played in a bubble in Nha Trang on the campus of Nha Trang University. 2020 VBA Season
The 2020 VBA season was the fifth season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The season was scheduled to start in May but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The regular season began on 15 October 2020 and ended on 20 November. The playoffs semi-finals began on 24 November 2020 and ended on 28 November 2020. The Finals began on 2 December 2020 and ended on 8 December 2020 with the Saigon Heat defeating the Thang Long Warriors after 4 games. Teams Venues and locations Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all games will be played in a bubble in Ho Chi Minh City. A stadium, nicknamed the VBA Arena, was constructed in Studio S4 on the campus of ZoOm Media. Eric Weissling (born January 20, 1988) is a professional basketball coach of Mexican, American and German descent. Career He began his professional career as a player assistant with the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA 2004–2012, while he was there he worked with players such as: Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen and many more. Akeem Wayne Byron Scott ([born September 2, 1983) is an American basketball player who last played for RANS Simba Bogor, RANS PIK Basketball of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).
