2020 Rally Mexico
The 2020 Rally Mexico (also known as the Rally Guanajuato Mexico 2020) was a motorsport, motor racing event for rallying, rally cars that was held over four days between 12 and 15 March 2020. It marked the seventeenth running of Rally Mexico and was the third round of the 2020 World Rally Championship, 2020 World Rally Championship-2, World Rally Championship-2 and 2020 World Rally Championship-3, World Rally Championship-3. The 2020 FIA World Rally Championship was the forty-eighth season of the World Rally Championship, a rallying competition organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Teams and crews competed in seven rallies for the List of World Rally Championship Drivers' champions, World Rally Championships for Drivers, Co-drivers and List of World Rally Championship Constructors' champions, Manufacturers. Crews were free to compete in cars complying with various regulations, however, only manufacturers competing with World Rally Cars Homologation (motorsport), homologated under regulations introduced in World Rally Car#2017, 2017 were eligible to score points in the Manufacturers' championship. In motorsport, a privateer is usually an entrant into a racing event that is not directly supported by an automobile or motorcycle manufacturer. Privateers teams are often found competing in rally, circuit racing and motorcycle racing events and often include competitors who build and maintain their own vehicles and motorcycles. The 2019 FIA WRC2 Pro Championship was the first and only season of WRC2 Pro, a rallying championship organised and governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the second-highest tier of international rallying. The category was open to cars entered by manufacturers and complying with Group R5 regulations, while WRC2 was open to privately entered cars.
