A watchtower entrance with a large wooden door was built in the front with a wall going around the monastery, behind the entrance is another watchtower and a small basement entrance on the left side for the watchtower. Tsinarekhi is a relatively warm place, since it is located on the South Eastern part of Georgia it experiences a dry moderate continental climate with very hot long summers. The elevation in Tsinarekhi is about 720-804 metres and since its located on a higher elevation it experiences short but cold winters. In January the weather is a little warm reaching about 12°C (53.6°F) and going down to -6°C (21.2°F), from January to May the temperature rises to a maximum of 26°C (78.8°F) and in the summer from June to September the temperature can rise to a maximum of 38°C (100.4°F). during autumn and winter from October to December the temperature goes down to a high of 31°C (87.8°F) and a low of 5°C (41°F) to -3°C (26.6°F).
