Keshelashvili
Keshelashvili or Qeshelashvili ( ka, ქეშელაშვილი, ) is a Georgian surname that is from the Shida Kartli and Kvemo Kartli regions of Georgia, it is most common in the village of Tsinarekhi, Gori, Thezi, Kavthiskhevi, Kaspi and in the capital city of Tbilisi. It is mostly occurrent in Georgia, Russia and Turkey. The surname originated from the Kingdom of Kartli during the reign of Luarsab II of Kartliv between the years 1606 and 1615. Origins The origins of Keshelashvili are debated but it is known from a medieval Georgian legend that the surname came from a very old surname known as "Lomisashvili" (alternate spelling: "Lomasashvili"), the history of Keshelashvili goes back to the 17th century, a man named "Mamuka Lomisashvili" was given an honorary title of the founder of a new surname and he became "Mamuka Keshelashvili". Omar Keshelashvili ( ka, ომარ ქეშელაშვილი or , ) is an economist, political scientist, agriculture scientist and professor. He also founded the Georgia Business University with his brother Nikoloz Keshelashvili. Omar graduated from The Agricultural Institute of Georgia in 1963, he became a senior scientist, sector manager and deputy director at the Scientific Research Institute of Agricultural Economy and Organization. Omar worked in the agriculture industry like his father, Grigol Keshelashvili. In 1991 Omar and his brother Nikoloz Keshelashvili founded the Georgian Business University, Omar has been the director of the Institute of Economics and Business LLC based on the base of the university. Grigol Nikolaevich Keshelashvili (Georgian language, Georgian: გრიგოლ ნიკოლოზის ძე ქეშელაშვილი, Russian: Григол Николаевич Кешелашвили) was a Georgians, Georgian agronomist, Agricultural science, agricultural scientist, professor and an Honored Worker of Sciences of the СССР of Georgian SSR, Georgia. Biography Grigol Keshelashvili was born in the village of Tsinarekhi in 1906, he was sent to Tbilisi by his parents to attend school for better a quality education since his hometown didn't have any schools, he lived with a close family friend during school semesters and visited his family during summers by train.
