in order to take up the post of chair of the board of directors of Portugal's Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT), Andrade became a deputy in the Assembly in August 2021. In the January 2022 national election, Andrade was ranked 18th on the PS list and was re-elected to the Assembly when the PS won 19 seats in the Porto District and won an overall majority in the Assembly.
