Following his outstanding freshman season, he was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team. During the 2016–17 season, he recorded 19 goals and 17 assists in 34 games, leading the team in scoring with 36 points. During the 2017–18 season, he recorded 29 goals and 23 assists in 36 games, ranking second on the team in scoring with 52 points. He ranked second in the nation in goals per game (0.81) and fifth in the nation in points per game. He had a 13-game point scoring streak of 18 goals, 13 assists and 31 points.
