2014–15 CCHL Season
The 2014–15 CCHL season is the 54th season of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). The twelve teams of the CCHL played 62-game schedules. In March 2015, the top teams of the league played down for the Bogart Cup, the CCHL championship. The winners of the Bogart Cup competed in the Eastern Canadian Junior "A" championship, the Fred Page Cup. If successful against the winners of the Quebec Junior Hockey League and Maritime Junior A Hockey League, the champion would then move on to play in the Canadian Junior Hockey League championship, the Royal Bank Cup. Changes *Overtime format: The CCHL decided to adapt the American Hockey League's overtime format beginning with the 2014–15 season. Central Canada Hockey League
The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL; French: ''Ligue de hockey du Canada centrale'', LHCC) is a Junior A ice hockey league in North America composed of 12 teams – all around the National Capital Region. The CCHL is one of the nine Junior A leagues across Canada and is considered as the most successful and highest level of Junior A hockey compared to all the other eight leagues across the country. The Bogart Cup, the oldest junior ice hockey sports trophy in Canada, is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season. The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) views the Bogart Cup as one of the "most important championships available to the sport". The CCHL is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. Hawkesbury, Ontario
Hawkesbury is a town along the Ottawa River in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Hawkesbury is the third most bilingual town in Ontario, with about 70% of its inhabitants being fluent in English and French. Franco-Ontarians make up 89% of the population. The Long-Sault Bridge links it to Grenville, Quebec, to the north. This bridge, crossing Chenail Island, is the only interprovincial bridge between Ontario and Quebec east of Ottawa. Gloucester, Ontario
Gloucester ( ) is a former municipality and now geographic area of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located east of Ottawa's inner core, it was an independent city until amalgamated with the Regional Municipality of Ottawa–Carleton in 2001 to become the new city of Ottawa. The population of Gloucester is about 150,012 people (2021 Census). History Gloucester, originally known as Township B, was established in 1792. Gloucester Rangers
The Rockland Nationals (French: ''National de Rockland''), colloquially known as the Nats, are a Junior A ice hockey team based in Rockland, Ontario. The Nationals compete in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) as a member of the East Division. Since 2017, the team has played its home games at Clarence-Rockland Arena, originally known as CIH Arena. Pembroke, Ontario
Pembroke ( ) is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario at the confluence of the Muskrat River (Ontario), Muskrat River and the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley, northwest of Ottawa. Though containing the administrative headquarters of Renfrew County, it is an independent city. History The first European settler to the area now known as Pembroke was Daniel Fraser in 1823, who squatted on land that was discovered to have been granted to a man named Abel Ward. Pembroke Lumber Kings
The Pembroke Lumber Kings (colloquially referred to as the Kings) are a Junior A ice hockey team based in Pembroke, Ontario. The Lumber Kings compete in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) as a member of the West Division. The franchise is one of the ''Original Five'' teams of the league. Founded in 1964, the team folded in 1979, but came back in 1980. Since 1964, they play their home games at Pembroke Memorial Centre. The Lumber Kings have won the most Bogart Cup championships of any CCHL franchise since its existence (14). The Kings played their home games at Pembroke Memorial Centre from 1964 until 1979, for 15 seasons. Kemptville is a community located in the Municipality of North Grenville in Eastern Ontario, Canada in the northernmost part of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. It is located approximately south of the downtown core of Ottawa and south of the Rideau River. Kemptville 73's
The Kemptville 73's are a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey team based in Kemptville, Ontario. They play in the Central Canada Hockey League of the Ottawa District Hockey Association. History The team was founded in 1969 as the Kemptville Comets, changing their name in 1973 to coincide with that year. In the 1996–97 season, the 73's achieved an undefeated season with a win–loss–tie record of 38-0-4 en route to the Eastern Ontario Junior B Hockey League championship. They repeated the championship victory in 1999. The team moved up from the Eastern Ontario Junior B Hockey League to the Central Junior A Hockey League in 2007.
