The RSFI holds the annual National Roller Sports Championships in for males and females in age groups Sub Juniors (11 to 14 years), Juniors (14 to 17 Years) and Seniors (above 17 years) in the disciplines of artistic skating, speed skating, inline freestyle, roller freestyle, roller hockey, inline hockey, inline downhill, inline alpine, skateboarding and roller derby. Nineteen state and union territory associations are affiliated to the RSFI. In July 2017, the RSFI announced that it was planning to introduce a professional roller sports league along the lines of the
