. She rose in a family of an engineer (father- Vardan Haykaz Avdalyan) and an accountant (mother- Anush Karlen Vardanyan). She was the eldest of her two siblings. From the age of 5 to 17 she did acrobatics. As back then opportunities of participating in overseas competitions were not abundant, at the age of 18 she decided to shift her professional career path to weightlifting. By doing so she could stay in sport which she was deeply in love with. Her trainer was Artashes Nersisyan. From 1993-2003 she attended Basic School № 4 in Gyumri. From 2003-2007 she studied at Gyumri State Pedagogical University, the faculty of
