Deputy Minister of Transport: 2024–present

In the May 2024 general election, Hlengwa was re-elected to his parliamentary seat, again ranked third on the IFP's national party list. In the coalition negotiations that followed the election, he continued as IFP spokesman and also served on the party's negotiating team.
