The Mid-Valley Conference was formed in 1946 by seven small- to medium-sized high schools in the Fox River Valley in northeastern Wisconsin: Bonduel, Chilton, Kimberly,

Chilton and Kiel, the two southernmost schools, remained football-only members for the 1947 season, but left afterwards for sole membership in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference.
