Seymour High School (Connecticut)
Seymour High School is a secondary school at 2 Botsford Road in Seymour, Connecticut in the United States. History The town of Seymour began building its first public high school in 1884 on Bank Street. It was built on a piece of property that the town purchased for $3,000. When the school first opened in the fall of 1886, it had 456 students, who all attended class in nine rooms. Later, the building was used as an elementary school, Center School. That building and its annex are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Seymour bought land on Pine Street (Broad Street Bridge area) in 1915. By 1916, a high school was built. After the 1955 flood the school needed major renovations. After the renovations were complete, in the 1960s, the Pine Street School was converted into a middle school and a new high school was opened on Botsford Road. Seymour High School is a public high school in Seymour, Indiana. It is one of two high schools in the Seymour Community Schools district, with the other high school for Seymour students is Trinity Lutheran High School. History Prior to 1870, an iron fence separated a tract of forest land from the growing town of Seymour. In that year the tree-covered plot was leased by the town school board and work began on a three-story brick building facing the east. The heirs of Captain Meedy Shields later gave this land to the city for school purposes. Here stood the first Shields High School, surrounded by trees and for many years bordered on the west by a pond. On the first floor were two grade rooms and the public library; on the second, two grade rooms and the superintendent's office; and on the third, the music room and the assembly room. Mahomet-Seymour High School, abbreviated MSHS, is a public high school in Mahomet, Illinois. It is a part of Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District 3. History Mahomet-Seymour High School was built in 1981 and has since undergone expansion as the community of Mahomet continues to grow. The latest expansion was completed in August 2000 and brought . (when completed the building was over ) of additional space to the building, increased student capacity to 1,100, and cost $8,701,400. As of the 2022-2023 school year, the school has an enrollment of 987 students and a faculty of fifty-five full-time teachers. Seymour Community High School is a public high school in Seymour, Wisconsin administered by the Seymour Community School District. Its enrollment for the 2019–20 school year was 694.
