In the latter month, Adriaansens was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy in the Fourth Rutte cabinet. Her term ended on 2 July 2024, when the Schoof cabinet was sworn in. In February 2025, she became chair of Nyenrode Business University.
