Fourth Rutte Cabinet
The fourth Rutte cabinet was the cabinet of the Netherlands from 10 January 2022 until 2 July 2024. The cabinet was a continuation of the third Rutte cabinet and was formed by the conservative liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), the social liberal Democrats 66 (D66) and the Christian democratic Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) and Christian Union (CU) after the election of 2021. The cabinet fell on 7 July 2023, after failing to reach an agreement on separate treatment of refugees fleeing from war. It continued serving as a demissionary cabinet until the Schoof cabinet was sworn in on 2 July 2024. Formation The formation of the cabinet was particularly difficult; it required the longest time of any cabinet so far. List Of Members Of The House Of Representatives Of The Netherlands, 2021–2023
Between 31 March 2021 and 5 December 2023, 187 individuals served as representatives in House of Representatives, the 150-seat lower house of the States General of the Netherlands. Vera Bergkamp was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives for this period. The members were elected during the general election of 17 March 2021. Sixteen parties were elected to the House, the highest number since 1918. Pieter Herman Omtzigt (; born 8 January 1974) is a Dutch former politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives (Netherlands), House of Representatives between 2003 and 2025 apart from a short interruption between June and October 2010. Schoof Cabinet
The Schoof cabinet is the current demissionary cabinet of the Netherlands, sworn in on 2 July 2024. Led by independent politician and civil servant Dick Schoof as prime minister of the Netherlands, the cabinet was formed after the 2023 Dutch general election by the Party for Freedom (PVV), the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), New Social Contract (NSC), and the Farmer–Citizen Movement (BBB).
