He has five siblings. In Tallahassee, he lived with his grandmother, Maime Wilson Roberts Harris, and attended a one-room school house. For college, Leon attended Clark Atlanta University, where he received his B.A. degree in political science in 1978. After college graduation, he enrolled in Southwestern University School of Law. In 1979, he dropped out of law school and returned to Atlanta to pursue a theatrical career.


Career
