Retirement

Thiemann retired from the Nuremberg Ensemble at the end of the 1997/98 season in July 1998 due to his age. He was appointed an honorary member of the Nuremberg Opera House. Thiemann's long-standing commitment as chairman of the staff council and chairman of the
