After helping his team upset 12th-ranked Missouri in the final regular season game at home, Carter picked up his 97th career win, becoming the winningest player in A&M history. He was named to the All-Big 12 Third Team after the regular season. Carter finished his college career with 1,566 points, which at the time placed him seventh in the program's all-time points scored list. He also played 135 games during his career, which is another A&M record.
