Erin Helena Maureen Anttila (; born 2 July 1977), better known as simply Erin, is a Finnish singer who rose to fame with the pop group Nylon Beat.


Early life

Erin Anttila was born in Helsinki, Finland, and is of Irish and Finnish descent, with an Irish mother and Finnish father. When she was three years old, her family moved to Ireland, where she began primary school. She finished school in Finland when the family returned three years later.


Career

At seventeen, she formed Nylon Beat with Jonna Kosonen. They became famous after their appearance on ''" Kiitorata"'' (Launch Pad), a television programme presenting new Finnish solo artists and bands. The show was broadcast on
