Its name literally means ''red soil'', it comes from a dirt road in the same name that constructed during the government of Field Marshal P. Pibulsongkram in the 1940s, which looks red in colour. Locals soon used the term Din Daeng to call the area. Today, it is better known as Din Daeng Road.
