In the original continuity prior to '' Zero Hour: Crisis in Time!'', veteran Legionnaire

(Gim Allon) was finally able to act upon his unrequited feelings for his teammate Shrinking Violet when the two became a romantic couple and married, to the surprise of the other Legionnaires. Allon later discovers that Violet is Yera Allon, a Durlan who impersonated her after she was kidnapped by other Imskians. She is eventually exposed as an imposter, but chooses to remain with Allon.
