During the season, on 8 December 2023, Clang was recalled by Anaheim while goaltender
John Gibson was placed on the non-roster list. Gibson was with his wife as she gave birth to a child.
Clang did not feature with the Ducks during his recall before he was returned to the San Diego Gulls for the remainder of the season.
