Diving

CAMO's diving club (Le Club de Plongeon CAMO) was formed in 1981 as an official club operated by the City of Montreal. It originally was created to form divers at the "junior" level. Its first major success occurred in 1983 when Sylvie Bernier joined the club. The following year Bernier became the first Canadian to ever win a gold medal in diving, at the

. There two of its members, Évelyne Boisvert and Bruno Founier, were members of the Canadian team. Since then CAMO's diving club has constantly been one of the most successful in Canada, both on the junior and on the senior level.
