Marianne Limpert
Marianne Louise Limpert (born October 10, 1972) is a Canadian former freestyle swimming, freestyle and medley swimming, medley swimming (sport), swimmer who competed in the Summer Olympics for Canada in 1992 Summer Olympics, 1992, 1996 Summer Olympics, 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics, 2000, and won the silver medal in the 200-metre individual medley in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also Canada's flagbearer at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The University of New Brunswick, in her hometown of Fredericton, New Brunswick, has an annual swim meet, the Marianne Limpert Team Cup, named after her. At the 1993 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, she won a bronze medal in the 4x100-metre freestyle relay. 1998 Commonwealth Games
The 1998 Commonwealth Games ( Malay: ), officially known as the XVI Commonwealth Games (Malay: ), were a multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 1999 Pan American Games, officially the XIII Pan American Games () or the 13th Pan American Games and commonly known as Winnipeg 1999, were a major international multi-sport event that was held from July 23 to August 8, 1999, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and surrounding towns and cities.
