Basap is an
Austronesian language spoken in
Borneo, Indonesia.
Within
Kalimantan Timur and
Kalimantan Utara provinces, Basap speakers are scattered across Berau, Bulungan, Kutai Kartanegara, Penajam Paser Utara, and Kutai Timur regencies. Dialects are Jembayan, Bulungan, Berau, Dumaring, Binatang, and Karangan (''Ethnologue'').
