. Starting from the 2023–24 season, two new leagues, Second Division A (professional league, second tier) and Second Division B (semi-professional league, third tier) replaced the existing

; which meant that the Third Division would be level four starting from that season. Makadi, Nogoom, and Raya Ghazl Kafr El Dawar won the promotion play-offs, and promoted to the inaugural edition of the Egyptian Second Division A.
