''Windfall'' is a 1935 British drama film adapted by Jack Celestin and Randall Faye from the R. C. Sherriff play of the same title. The film was directed by Frederick Hayward and George King (film director), George King, and starred Edward Rigby and Marie Ault and George Carney. When an elderly ironworker receives a financial windfall, he uses the money to retire, but his family and those around him behave irresponsibly. Windfall Records
Windfall Records was a record label founded in 1969 by Bud Prager and Felix Pappalardi to distribute records of acts they managed and/or produced. Singer-guitarist Leslie West recorded for Windfall throughout the label's existence, initially as a solo artist (1969) and subsequently with the bands Mountain (1970–72 and 1973–74) and West, Bruce and Laing (1972–73). Windfall was first distributed by Bell Records, who handled their releases through mid-1972. The label then transferred distribution to Columbia Records (now a sister label to Bell's successor Arista Records, which was folded into RCA Records in 2011) as part of Columbia's signing of West, Bruce and Laing. When WBL dissolved in 1973, Mountain re-formed and distributed their releases through Windfall/Columbia. Windfall folded in 1974, following Mountain's breakup. Windfall, Indiana
Windfall is a town in Wildcat Township, Tipton County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is part of the Kokomo, Indiana, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Windfall's population was 697 as of the 2021 census. History Founding Windfall was founded by James B. Fouch in 1853. Fouch platted the land with the goal of securing a train station in order to earn business from the lucrative lumber trade. He built the first sawmill in 1853. A Christian church was built just outside Windfall in 1854. The congregation moved to Windfall in 1866. A Methodist church was organized in Windfall in 1857, with meetings taking place in a school house. The Windfall post office has been in operation since 1855. There is no definitive history explaining how Windfall was named, but a niece of James B. Fouch told a local newspaper in 1949, “The story has been told to me that Windfall was named by my uncle after a terrific windstorm had swept through the village.”Peters, Rowland, "Windfall grew, devel ... Windfall, Alberta
Windfall is a former unincorporated community and ghost town in the northwest portion of central Alberta, Canada within Woodlands County. It is located on Township Road 604 approximately west of Whitecourt, southwest of Highway 43, and south of the Athabasca River. History Windfall was founded by Canadian Fina Oil Ltd. shortly after the company drilled a well and discovered gas in the Windfall field in March 1955. As a result of this discovery, and discoveries in two nearby fields by two other companies, the company developed a pilot project plant to recover gas, sulphur, and hydrocarbons from the three fields through an interlocking recovery process. Built over two phases, the community included an apartment complex, 17 houses in excess of on basements with paved driveways and detached garages, and a school consisting of three rooms, and by 1961, Windfall had a population of 101. The Wind Waker
is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube.
