Veden Manor
Veden Manor ( or ''Veden gård'', also spelled ''Veen'') is a manor in Tistedalen in Halden, Norway, and a former privileged noble estate. History The manor was a privileged noble estate ('' setegård'') until the 1821 Nobility Law abolished this privilege in the 19th century, and was notably owned by the Norwegian chancellor Jens Bjelke and his descendants. It once included the main estate and 13 other farms, as well as 11 sawmills. Over time, much of the agricultural land was sold, but the manor's economic importance rested chiefly on its sawmills. The manor and its surroundings have been painted by several prominent painters. Following a visit by Crown Prince Regent Frederick in 1788, he sent Erik Pauelsen to paint the view from the manor. Other artists who visited the manor and painted motifs from Veden include Jens Peter Møller, Heinrich Grosch, Ferdinand Gjøs, Thomas Fearnley, and Johannes Flintoe. ''Veden varaan'' is the fifth studio album by Finnish pop rock group PMMP. It was released in 2009 through Sony BMG. The album cover was photographed by Susanna Majuri Susanna Majuri (24 November 1978 – 5 March 2020) was a Finnish fine art photographer based in Helsinki.Tero Kartastenpää.

Sven Wedén
Sven Wedén (23 July 1913 – 31 March 1976) was a Swedish politician. He was the leader of the Swedish Liberal People's Party (Sweden), People's Party from 1967 to 1969. Wedén survived severe tuberculosis and became a businessman in the family company, a metal manufacturing firm. Wedén had no higher education but became a self-learned intellectual, starting with extensive reading during long sejours at tuberculosis hospitals. He was strongly pro-British and influenced by reading about British parliamentary life. Wedén also was passionately anti-Nazi and during World War II he joined the liberal party of Sweden, the People's Party, where he became city councillor, chairman of the youth organization and member of parliament. In parliament Wedén for many years worked with housing and defence policy, but over the years he became part of the small circle of leading liberals around Bertil Ohlin, and finally Ohlin's successor as chairman and parliamentary leader.
