Trimethoxyamphetamines
Trimethoxyamphetamines (TMAs) are a family of positional isomer, positionally isomeric psychedelic drug, psychedelic hallucinogenic drug, hallucinogenic psychoactive drug, drugs. There exist six different TMAs that differ only in the positions of the three methoxy Functional group, groups: 3,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine, TMA (TMA-1), 2,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine, TMA-2, TMA-3, TMA-4, TMA-5, and TMA-6. The TMAs are substituted amphetamines and are structural analog, analogues of the phenethylamine cactus alkaloid mescaline and the DOx drugs. The mechanism of action of the TMAs is different from that of the unsubstituted compound amphetamine, probably involving agonist activity on serotonin receptors such as the 5-HT2A receptor, 5-HT2A receptors instead of the monoamine releasing agent actions typical of most amphetamines. 3,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine
3,4,5-Trimethoxyamphetamine (TMA, TMA-1, or 3,4,5-TMA), also known as α-methylmescaline or mescalamphetamine, is a psychedelic drug of the substituted phenethylamine, phenethylamine and substituted amphetamine, amphetamine families. It is one of the trimethoxyamphetamines, trimethoxyamphetamine (TMA) series of positional isomers. The drug is notable in being the amphetamine (i.e., α-methyl group, methylated) structural analog, analogue of mescaline (3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine). Use and effects TMA is a serotonergic psychedelic and produces hallucinogenic effects. It is said to be active at doses of 100 to 250mg and to have a duration of action, duration of 6 to 8hours. For comparison, mescaline is typically used at doses of 200 to 500mg and is said to have a duration of 10 to 12hours or longer.
