The Hood Internet
The Hood Internet is an American record production duo based in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in mashups. It is composed of Aaron Brink (ABX) and Steve Reidell (STV SLV). History In 2007, the Hood Internet started posting the mashup tracks to their website. ''New York'' categorized the duo's mashup track of Chris Brown and A. C. Newman, titled "Drug Drug Kiss Kiss", in the "lowbrow" and "brilliant" quadrant of their Approval Matrix in 2007. The Hood Internet produced BBU's "Please, No Pictures", which was included in BBU's ''Bell Hooks'' mixtape in 2012. The duo entirely produced Max B and Isaiah Toothtaker's ''Toothy Wavy''. It was released on Mishka in May 2012. Their first album of original material, titled '' FEAT'', was released on Decon in September 2012. Kleenex Girl Wonder
Kleenex Girl Wonder (or Kleenexgirlwonder or Kleen Ex-Girl Wonder in Japan) is an indie rock band, originally from the suburbs of Chicago but now based in New York City. The band's central and sole consistent member since its inception is Graham Smith (born July 14, 1979). The original backing band consisted of neighborhood friends from his hometown of Downers Grove, Illinois. This lineup consisted of Adam Blake (guitar), Rafeeq Hasan (bass), Quinn Goodwillie (guitar), Christian Goodwillie (bass) and Jeff Giba (drums). The band of the past decade largely featured Smith on bass and vocals, Thayer McClanahan on guitar, and Matt LeMay on drums. Andrew Sims (born October 19), better known mononymously as Sims, is an American rapper from Minneapolis. He has been a member of Doomtree and Shredders (music group), Shredders. Early life Sims was born Andrew Sims on October 19, 1982, in Minnesota. He grew up in Hopkins, Minnesota, Hopkins, a suburb of Minneapolis. His parents were former musicians. He first began creating music at an early age when his father bought him a Casio SK-1 keyboard. At a young age, he began writing lyrics, not necessarily rap. Hooray for Earth is an American band and recording project founded by composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Noel Heroux. While the first Hooray for Earth live show occurred in 2005, self-released home recordings date back to 2003. The group played frequently in Boston, garnering attention from local publications. Heroux relocated to Manhattan in August 2007, generally pulling band activity toward NYC. On February 26, 2008, Dopamine Records released the six-track ''Cellphone'' EP. Class Actress was originally conceived as a trio, consisting of Harper, Mark Richardson, and Scott Rosenthal.
