Qutebrowser
qutebrowser (pronounced "cute browser") is a web browser for the operating systems Linux, Windows, and macOS, with vim-style key bindings and a minimal graphical user interface (GUI). It is keyboard-driven and is inspired by similar software such as Vimperator and dwb. It is developed by Florian Bruhin. Qutebrowser is free and open-source software released under the GNU General Public License, and is included in the native repositories of Linux distributions such as Fedora and Arch Linux. Qutebrowser can use two layout or browser engines: QtWebEngine by default, or WebKit optionally instead. It uses DuckDuckGo as the default search engine. Uzbl
Uzbl is a discontinued free and open-source minimalist web browser designed for simplicity and adherence to the Unix philosophy. Development began in early 2009 and is still considered to be in an alpha state by the developers. The core component of Uzbl is written in C, but other languages are also used, most notably Python. All parts of the Uzbl project are released as free software under GNU GPL-3.0-only. The name comes from the word ''usable'', spelled in lol speak. Development of Uzbl is in the alpha stage. Uzbl was originally designed for Arch Linux, but operates with other Linux distributions and BSD systems. Compilation guides are available for Gentoo Linux, Ubuntu, MacPorts, and Nix package manager. QtWebEngine
Chromium is a free and open-source web browser project, primarily developed and maintained by Google. It is a widely-used codebase, providing the vast majority of code for Google Chrome and many other browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Samsung Internet, and Opera. The code is also used by several app frameworks. Licensing Chromium is a free and open-source software project. The Google-authored portion is shared under the 3-clause BSD license. Third party dependencies are subject to a variety of licenses, including MIT, LGPL, Ms-PL, and an MPL/GPL/LGPL tri-license. Vimperator is a discontinued Add-on (Mozilla), Firefox extension forked from the original Firefox extension version of Conkeror and designed to provide a more efficient user interface for keyboard-fluent users. The design is heavily inspired by the Vim (text editor), Vim text editor, and the authors try to maintain consistency with it wherever possible. In 2017, Vimperator was discontinued due to several changes in Firefox that would have required a complete rewrite to make it compatible.
