Coat Of Arms Of North Yemen
The Emblem of Yemen depicts a golden eagle of Saladin with a scroll between its claws. On the scroll is written the name of the country in ('The Yemeni Republic'). The chest of the eagle contains a shield that depicts a coffee plant and the Marib Dam, with seven blue wavy stripes below. The flagstaffs on the right and left of the eagle hold the flag of Yemen. Ibrahim Al-Hamdi
Ibrahim al-Hamdi (30 September 1943 – 11 October 1977) () was a Yemeni military officer who served as the third President of the Yemen Arab Republic (North Yemen) from 13 June 1974 until his assassination on 11 October 1977. During his rule, he cemented the central government's control over the country, and planned to end tribal loyalty and Yemen's medieval social classes by proclaiming all Yemenis as equal. Early life and career Ibrahim al-Hamdi was born in Qattab, Ibb in southwestern Yemen. His family was from the Banu Hamdan tribe. In his early adulthood he was an associate for his father, who worked as a judge. Ahmad bin Hussein al-Ghashmi (21 August 1935 – 24 June 1978) () was a Yemeni military officer who served as the fourth President of the Yemen Arab Republic (North Yemen) from 11 October 1977 until his assassination eight months later.
