Mus (card Game)
Mus is a card game widely played in Spain, France and Hispanic America. Originating in the Basque Country (greater region), Basque Country, it is a Card game#Comparing games, vying game. The first reference to this game dates back to 1745, when Manuel Larramendi, philologist and Jesuit Basque people, Basque, quoted it in a trilingual dictionary (Basque language, Basque-Spanish language, Spanish-Latin). In Spain it is the most widely played card game, spawning several Mus clubs or ''peñas'' and becoming a staple game among college students. It is not uncommon to hear the Basque terms, such as ''órdago'' (from Basque ''hor dago'', "there it is") used by Spanish speakers, often without them being aware of the literal meanings of the terms and phrases. Muscogee Language
The Muscogee language (also Muskogee , ), previously referred to by its exonym, Creek, is spoken by Muscogee (Creek) and Seminole people, primarily in the US states of Oklahoma and Florida. Muscogee was historically spoken by various constituent groups of the Muscogee confederacy in what are now Alabama and Georgia. In the early 18th century some Muscogee speakers began to join speakers of Hitchiti-Mikasuki in Florida. Combining with other ethnicities there, they emerged as the Seminole. During the 1830s, the US government forced most Muscogee and Seminole to relocate west of the Mississippi River, with most forced into Indian Territory. Muş Province
Muş Province (; ; ) is a Provinces of Turkey, province in the east Anatolia region of Turkey (Türkiye). Its area is 8,718 km2, and its population is 399,202 (2022), down from 453,654 in 2000. The provincial capital is the city of Muş. Another town in Muş province, Malazgirt (''Manzikert''), is famous for the Battle of Manzikert of 1071. Memphis University School (MUS) is a college-preparatory, independent, day school for boys, grades 6–12, located in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. History Original campus (1893–1936) Edwin Sidney Werts and James White Sheffey Rhea founded MUS as a college-preparatory school for boys in the fall of 1893. Their purpose was threefold: to prepare boys for competitive colleges, to provide them with a liberal arts education, and to help them develop into cultured Christian gentlemen. Musca
is a small constellation in the deep southern sky. It was one of 12 constellations created by Petrus Plancius from the observations of Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser and Frederick de Houtman, and it first appeared on a celestial globe in diameter published in 1597 (or 1598) in Amsterdam by Plancius and Jodocus Hondius. The first depiction of this constellation in a celestial atlas was in Johann Bayer's '' Uranometria'' of 1603. It was also known as for 200 years. Italo Mus
Italo Mus (4 April 1892 – 15 May 1967) was an Italian painter. Early years and family Italo Mus was born in Chaméran, in the municipality of Châtillon to parents from the Aosta Valley. His mother Martine Vallaise was from a noble family of Arnad; his father Eugène Mus was a sculptor from Torgnon. His earliest artistic training took place in his father's workshop where he learn woodcarving. In 1909, recommended by Lorenzo Delleani, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin and followed the course of painting and drawing. Here his teachers included Giacomo Grosso, Paolo Gaidano, Luigi Onetti and Marchisio: artists faithful to the impressionist tradition, and who taught him the basics of art.
