Istighfar
Istighfar () is the act of seeking forgiveness of Allah in Islam. This is usually done by saying "I seek the forgiveness of Allah" (), or "I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and turn to him (in repentance)" (). It is considered one of the essential parts of worship in Islam. Etymology "Istighfar" is derived from the Arabic root , which is related to the covering of a thing with that which will keep it clean. Meaning "Istighfar" means to pray to Allah that he may protect the supplicant from worldly desires, both in this world and the hereafter. ''Astaghfirullah'' literally translates to "I seek forgiveness in God". Usually, a Muslim recites it as part of dhikr, that is to say that Allah is the greatest or that goodness comes from Allah. Dhikr
(; ; ) is a form of Islamic worship in which phrases or prayers are repeatedly recited for the purpose of remembering God. It plays a central role in Sufism, and each Sufi order typically adopts a specific ''dhikr'', accompanied by specific posture, breathing, and movement. In Sufism, ''dhikr'' refers to both the act of this remembrance as well as the prayers used in these acts of remembrance. ''Dhikr'' usually includes the names of God or supplication from the Quran or hadith. Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari
Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari Al-Kinani (, '), also spelled Abu Tharr or Abu Zar, born Jundab ibn Junādah (), was the fourth or fifth person converting to Islam, and a member of the Muhajirun. He belonged to the Banu Ghifar, the Kinanah tribe. His date of birth is unknown. He died in 652 CE, at Al-Rabadha, in the desert east of Medina. Abu Dharr is remembered for his strict piety and also his opposition to Muawiyah during the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan. Abu Ad-Darda
Uwaymir ibn Zayd ibn Qays al-Ansari (), better known by the '' kunya'' Abu al-Darda (, died 32 AH/652 CE) was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad who was known for being a leading authority on and teacher of the Quran. Abu Hurayrah
Abū Hurayra ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣakhr al-Dawsī al-Zahrānī (; –679), commonly known as Abū Hurayra (; ), was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and considered the most prolific hadith narrator. Born in al-Jabur, Arabia to the Banu Daws clan of the Zahran tribe, he was among the first people to accept Islam, and later became a member of the Suffah after the migration of Muhammad. Ibn Abbas
ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās (; c. 619 – 687 CE), also known as Ibn ʿAbbās, was one of the cousins of the Prophets and messengers in Islam, prophet Muhammad. He is considered to be the greatest Tafsir#Conditions, mufassir of the Quran, Qur'an. He was the son of Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib, an uncle of Muhammad, and a nephew of Maymunah bint al-Harith, who later became Muhammad's wives, Muhammad's wife.
