Conference Hall
A conference hall, conference room, or meeting room is a room provided for singular events such as business conferences and meetings. Room It is commonly found at large hotels and convention centers though many other establishments, including even hospitals. Sometimes other rooms are modified for large conferences such as arenas or concert halls. Aircraft have been fitted out with conference rooms. Conference rooms can be windowless for security purposes. An example of one such room is in the Pentagon, known as the ''Tank''. Typically, the facility provides furniture, overhead projectors, stage lighting, and sound system. Smoking is normally prohibited in conference halls, even when other parts of buildings permit smoking. Smoking bans, or smoke-free laws, are public policies, including criminal laws and occupational safety and health regulations, that prohibit tobacco smoking in certain spaces. An assembly hall is a hall to hold public meetings or meetings of an organization such as a school, church, or deliberative assembly. The Finlandia Hall is a congress and event venue in the centre of Helsinki on the Töölönlahti Bay, owned by the City of Helsinki. The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), ( ) is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
