2009–10 Süper Lig
The 2009–10 Süper Lig (known as the ''Turkcell Süper Lig'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 52nd season since its establishment. The season commenced on 7 August 2009 with İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor (football team), Istanbul B.B. hosting defending champions Beşiktaş J.K., Beşiktaş at Atatürk Olympic Stadium. The last matches were played on 16 May 2010. Bursaspor won the league beating defending champions Beşiktaş 2–1 at home. They beat second placed Fenerbahçe S.K. (football), Fenerbahçe by just one point after they could only manage a 1–1 home draw against Trabzonspor. It was only the seventh time a club outside the ''Istanbul Big Three'' have won the league, with Trabzonspor being the only other team with six championships, winning their last title in 1984. 1995 UEFA Intertoto Cup
The 1995 UEFA Intertoto Cup was the first edition of the tournament administered by the UEFA. It saw Strasbourg and Bordeaux win their semi-finals to advance to the first round of the UEFA Cup, the latter eventually finishing runners-up. It also saw English representatives Wimbledon and Tottenham Hotspur banned from European competition for the following season, after both had fielded under-strength sides in their respective Intertoto Cup matches. The ban was lifted on appeal but England were still forced to forfeit their UEFA Fair Play berth for the 1996–97 UEFA Cup. The 1995 competition also saw the return of Yugoslav clubs on the international scene after three years of ban due to UN embargo. The Prime Minister's Cup () was a association football, football competition organised by the Turkish Football Federation in Turkey. It began in 1944 and continued until 1950 as a unique kind of super cup competition between the winners of the Turkish Football Championship and the Turkish National Division. Bursa () is a city in northwestern Turkey and the administrative center of Bursa Province. The Centennial Atatürk Stadium () is an association football stadium in Bursa, Turkey. It has a capacity of 43,361 spectators and is home to Bursaspor of the TFF Second League, replacing the Bursa Atatürk Stadium.
