Andymori
(stylised as "andymori") was a Japanese indie rock band, signed to Youth Records. They debuted in 2007 with the EP ''Andy to Rock to Bengal Tora to Whisky.'' The band's name came from merging Andy Warhol and the phrase memento mori. Biography Andymori first formed in 2007, performing live at live houses in the Tokyo area. Their first big event was the Fuji Rock Festival in 2008, where they performed on the new artist stage. The band released their first EP "Andy to Rock to Bengal Tora to Whisky" in October 2008, as the first new artist signed to Youth Records. This was followed by their full-length album in February 2009, ''Andymori (album), Andymori''. The lead single, "Follow Me," was chosen as an iTunes Store, iTunes Single of the Week free download song in January. The band performed at many of the major summer festivals in 2009, such as Rock in Japan Festival, Rock in Japan and Summer Sonic. ''Andymori'' is Andymori's self-titled full-length debut album, released on . It was released simultaneously with a vinyl EP with tracks from the album, . Unsigned singePredawncontributed to chorus vocals in the track "Aoi Sora." Background The album was preceded by four months by the EP . Three tracks from the EP, "Bengal Tora to Whisky," "Everything Is My Guitar" and "Follow Me" were later put onto the album. Promotion Four tracks from the album had music videos: "Aoi Sora," "Everything Is My Guitar," "Follow Me," and "Life Is Party." All were directed by Masakazu Fukatsu (except for "Life Is Party," which was directed by Fukatsu and Shōji Shinya, one of the founders of Youth Records). Fanfare To Nekkyō
is Andymori's second album, released on . The title comes from a line from the first track, "1984." Promotion "City Lights" was released on 7 January to iTunes, the Recochoku full-download store and the Space Shower music store. A music video for this track was made, directed by Shōji Shinya. "1984" was released as a radio single in February 2010, reaching #40 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. A music video for the track was filmed, airing exclusively on Space Shower. Plenty (band)
Plenty (stylized as plenty) was a Japanese indie rock band formed in Ibaraki, 2004. The band was previously signed to the Headphone Music Label. The band officially disbanded in 2017. Background Plenty was formed in 2004 in Ibaraki Prefecture by guitarist Fumiya Enuma, bassist Noriaki Nitta, drummer Hiroki Yoshioka, and a female schoolmate as the vocalist. However, the female schoolmate left the band upon graduating junior high school, leaving Enuma as the main vocalist. In 2008, the band relocated to Tokyo where drummer Yoshioka's parents' home became their main practice spot. In August, the band began performing in live houses and made their first public appearance at ''Rockin'On'' Inc.'s "Countdown Japan 08/09". Plenty debuted their first album "Haikei.
