Yonca-Onuk Shipyard
Yonca Shipyard () is a Turkish shipyard established in Istanbul, Turkey in 1986. It builds fast patrol boats for the defence and law enforcement missions. History The history of the building fast patrol craft goes back to 1986 when Dr. Ekber Onuk, an aviation engineer, and his partner Şakir Yılmaztürk decided to establish the Yonca Shipyard to enter shipbuilding industry. Ekber Onuk's son Kaan, also an aviation engineer, who spent his childhood at the shipyard, built in 1989, a -long boat, named ''Yontech 45''. An enclosed top version, designed by Nissan called ''Yontech 105'', was awarded the bronze medal by the Industrial Design Society of America in 1992. In 1993, father and son Onuk decided to start a project called "Multi Role Tactical Platform" (MRTP) of developing a longer fast craft for armed military missions. A modified risk tobacco product (MRTP) is a legal designation in the United States for a tobacco product that poses lower health risks to individual users and the population as a whole when compared to existing products on the market such as cigarettes (see health effects of tobacco). The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act of 2009 gives the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) broad authority to regulate tobacco products; the FDA's power extends to approving or rejecting MRTP applications. KAAN 29-class Patrol Craft
''Kaan 29''-class fast patrol craft, known by the producer as ''Onuk MRTP 29'', are boats of the Coast Guard Command of Turkey, built by Yonca-Onuk Shipyard in Istanbul. The first boat of its class – hull number TCSG-101 – was commissioned in 2001 and since then nine boats (Hull numbers TCSG-101 to TCSG-109) have been built. United Arab Emirates Coast Guard
The United Arab Emirates Coast Guard is the official coast guard agency of the United Arab Emirates and is primarily responsible for the protection of the UAE's coastline through regulation of maritime laws, maintenance of seamarks, border control, anti-smuggling operations and other services. The UAE Coast Guard is an affiliated branch of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and works in close coordination with the United Arab Emirates Navy. The Royal Oman Police (ROP), also known as Oman Police ( ar, شرطة عمان السلطانية), is the main law and order agency for the Sultanate of Oman. It maintains a helicopter fleet and also carries on the duties of safeguarding the long Omani coastline.
