World Junior Wrestling Championships
The World Junior Wrestling Championships (U20) is the main wrestling championships in the Junior age category (between 18 and 20 years old), organised by United World Wrestling (UWW). This event was held twice in 1979 and 1980. Rename Past name for the competition was the Junior World Championships. In November 2021, the UWW renamed the Junior Worlds to U20 and Cadet Worlds to U17. United World Wrestling
United World Wrestling (UWW) is the international governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling; its duties include overseeing wrestling at the Olympics. It presides over international competitions for various forms of wrestling, including Greco-Roman wrestling, Freestyle wrestling, Grappling, for men and women, as well as others. The flagship event of UWW is the Wrestling World Championships. Oak Lawn is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 58,362 at the 2020 census. Oak Lawn is a suburb of Chicago, located southwest of the city. It shares borders with the city in two areas but is surrounded mostly by other suburbs. History Founding In August 1835, James B. Campbell purchased the land stretching between Cicero Avenue and Central Avenue from 95th Street to 103rd Street. It is unclear what Campbell's intentions with the area were, but by 1840, he had lost a court battle with the Illinois State Bank and his land was sold in a public auction.
