Texpark Site
The Texpark site is a prominent vacant lot in Downtown Halifax, Downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. ''The Coast (newspaper), The Coast'', a weekly newspaper, has called it "downtown's biggest gaping hole" and an "embarrassing missing tooth" in the urban fabric. Much of the site was once home to the Texpark, a city-owned parking garage, demolished in 2004. The lot was sold to United Gulf Developments, who have formally put forward three development proposals for the site. Two of the proposals were approved by the city, but as of 2020 no construction has ever taken place. Definition The site is bounded by Granville Street, Sackville Street, and Hollis Street – to the west, north, and east respectively – and by the MetroPark facility to the south. The demolished Tex-Park garage actually only occupied the northern half of what is commonly termed the "Texpark site". The southern half is mainly vacant, but also houses a five-storey office building at 1568 Hollis Street, built in 1960, wh ...

Generation 4 cars feature highly modified bodies with teams spending hours in the wind tunnel to gain aerodynamics. The bumpers, nose and tail are composed of molded fiberglass based on production counterparts. In the 2000s teams began using different RPM levels on their engines making each team and manufacturer sound different. History In 1992, the Gen 4 car arrived at the sport when steel bodies became primarily custom made instead of using stock pieces, and wind tunnels became a staple as teams worked to gain aerodynamics. Wind Chaser

It features three inversions, a 78-degree drop, and a maximum speed of utilizing RMC's patented I-Box track technology. Originally manufactured by Custom Coasters International, the ride first opened as a wooden dueling coaster named Twisted Sisters in 1998. After American heavy metal band Twisted Sister threatened to sue the park, the name was changed to Twisted Twins in 2002. It closed indefinitely in 2007, and its future became uncertain after Kentucky Kingdom ceased operations in 2010. RMC was hired to refurbish the ride as Storm Chaser for the 2016 season, two years after the park reopened in 2014. As a budgetary measure, some of the supports from Twisted Twins were reused.
