Tactical Operations Unit
The State Protection Group (SPG) is part of the Counter Terrorism & Special Tactics Command of the New South Wales Police Force and was established in 1991 to deal with extraordinary policing responses. The SPG directly supports police in high-risk incidents such as sieges with specialised tactical, negotiation, intelligence and command-support services. The unit also provides rescue and bomb disposal support, canine policing, and armoury services. History Established in June 1991, the State Protection Group replaced four former specialist units; the Special Weapons and Operations Section (SWOS), the Witness Security Unit, regional Tactical Response Groups and the Police Rescue Squad. Later other sections were added to the command including the Police Armoury, Negotiation Section, Bomb Disposal and Dog Unit. Tou (biblical Figure)
King Tou or Toi is the name of a biblical king of Hamath, an ancient city located in Syria. He is referred to in 2 Samuel 8:9–10 as "Toi" ( ''Tō‘î'') and 1 Chronicles 18:9–10 as "Tou" ( ''Tō‘ū''). Both biblical accounts state that Tou paid homage to David, king of Israel, because he had defeated the army of Tou's enemy, Hadadezer, king of Zobah. Tou (brewery)
Tou (''Tou bryggeri'') was a brewery established in 1855 at Tau near Stavanger, Norway. Tou brewery started producing beer and flour in 1855 at Tau outside Stavanger. In 1901, the production of beer was moved to Lervik in Stavanger. In the 1970s, the production was again moved to new facilities in Forus. In 1964, Christianssands Bryggeri (CB) in Kristiansand became a subsidiary of Tou. But CB was in 1990 demerged into a separate company which subsequently in 1999 was acquired by Hansa Borg. Tou merged in 1990 with Nora Industrier and became part of beverage company Ringnes Ringnes is the largest brewer in Norway. Ringnes is part of the Carlsberg Group.
