Alan James
Alan James (March 23, 1890 – December 30, 1952) was an American film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 70 films between 1916 and 1943. He also wrote for more than 60 films between 1916 and 1951. He was born in Port Townsend, Washington, and died in Hollywood, California. Walter Hiers
Walter Hiers (July 18, 1893 – February 27, 1933) was an American silent film actor. Biography Born in 1893, during his two decade-long acting career spanning from 1912 to 1932, Hiers acted in 101 films. He was a particularly prolific actor who starred in over 10 films a year. He died from pneumonia in 1933, aged 39. He is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale), Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Cesare Gravina
Cesare Gravina (23 January 1858 – 16 September 1954) was an Italian actor of the silent era who appeared in more than 70 films from 1911 to 1929. Born in Naples, Gravina was an orchestra conductor in his native Italy. As the conductor at La Scala, he worked with performers such as Mary Garden and Enrico Caruso. At some point, he left music to become a character actor, not explaining his reasons for the career change with no one. As the owner of many theaters in South America, Gravina became financially secure to retire from motion pictures by 1924, but he preferred to remain in acting.
