Caress Of Steel
''Caress of Steel'' is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 24, 1975, by Mercury Records. It was recorded immediately after the band concluded touring in support of their previous album, '' Fly By Night'', and marked a development in the group's sound, moving from the blues-based hard rock style of their debut towards progressive rock. ''Caress of Steel'' is considered Rush's first progressive rock album. Songs such as "The Necromancer" furthered Rush's advancement into narrative-driven, fantasy-based compositions, while "The Fountain of Lamneth" was their first prog-rock "epic". Other tracks like "Bastille Day" and " Lakeside Park" became staples of the band's live setlists. Though the band members were initially proud of their work on ''Caress of Steel'', the album proved to be a commercial and critical low point for Rush as the album's darker sound and fantastical compositions failed to find an audience and confused some of the band's peer ...

The Roots Of Sepultura
''Roots'' is the sixth studio album by Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura. It was released in Europe on and in the U.S. three weeks later on March 12 by Roadrunner Records. It is the band's last studio album to feature founding member and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Max Cavalera, who left the band in late 1996 while the band was on tour to promote the album. Following the shift to slower tempos and Latin-tinged rhythms on the album '' Chaos A.D.'', ''Roots'' delves even further into Brazilian musical textures and features significant contributions from iconic Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown, who guided and arranged the sections throughout the album that feature ensemble percussion playing. Both in sound and overall aesthetic, ''Roots'' is also a conscious nod to Brazil's marginalized indigenous population and cultures. The song "Itsári" features a Xavante chant that re-appears on the song "Born Stubborn" and serves as a loose thematic thread for the whole album, which on the ...

Content The album was originally intended as a solo album by the band's lead singer and main songwriter, Peter Hammill. When the band signed with Charisma Records, a deal was worked out whereby ''The Aerosol Grey Machine'' would be released under the Van der Graaf Generator name, in return for Mercury releasing Hammill from his earlier contract. Releases ''The Aerosol Grey Machine'' was released in September 1969 by Mercury, in the US only. An initial edition contained the song "Giant Squid" instead of "Necromancer", but that was a mis-print which was corrected immediately. On the sleeve and on the LP label of the misprint only "Necromancer" is named, but the song is mentioned in the song album credits though, which makes it very likely that initially the LP should feature it. The LP was rele ...
