The Fourteenth Target
''Case Closed: the Fourteenth Target'', known as in Japan, is a Japanese animated feature film based on the ''Case Closed'' series. It was released in Japanese theatres on April 18, 1998. The English version was released on DVD on November 20, 2007, by Funimation. The film grossed in Japan. Plot Rachel has a nightmare of her mother Eva being shot and she calls her up to discuss it. After the phone call, Eva begins questioning herself if her daughter is beginning to remember an incident that left a scar on her upper thigh. Across town, J.T. Morono is released from prison and intends to visit Richard. Dr. Agasa takes the Junior Detective League to a museum. While there, they see Emilio Cantour, a famed photographer, snapping pictures. Mitch quizzes the other members but Conan correctly guesses the right answer. At the Moore agency, Morono leaves after receiving no answer. Kenji Kodama
is a Japanese anime director, and storyboard artist. He is best known for being one of the main directors on the long-running anime ''Case Closed'', as well as the '' City Hunter'' series and '' Lupin III Part III''. Kodama is also a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association. Background Kodama is married to Sachiko Kamimura, a prominent animator in the same field. Kodama has also worked as a storyboard artist in the 1970s and 1980s under the name Seiji Miyamoto. Jimmy Kudo
, known in some major English adaptations as Jimmy Kudo, is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the manga series ''Case Closed'', created by Gosho Aoyama. A high school detective, he is forced to ingest a poison after an encounter with members of a criminal organization. Due to a rare side effect, the poison did not kill him, but instead shrunk his body into that of a child, forcing him to adopt the pseudonym . He lives with his childhood friend Ran Mouri and her father as he awaits the day he can take down the organization that poisoned him and reclaim his original identity. The manga series ''Case Closed'', also known as ''Detective Conan'', features a large cast of fictional characters created by Gosho Aoyama.
