Good is generally considered to be the opposite of evil and is of interest in the study of ethics, morality, philosophy, and religion. Public defenders in the United States are lawyers employed by or under contract with county, state or federal governments. By country In civil law countries, following the model from the French Napoleonic Code of criminal procedure, the courts typically appoint private attorneys at the expense of the state.
