Real Zaragoza, S.A.D. (), commonly referred to as Zaragoza, is a football club based in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain, that currently competes in the Segunda División, the second tier of the Spanish football league system, Spanish league system. Zaragoza holds its home games at La Romareda. Founded on 18 March 1932, the club has spent the majority of its history in La Liga, although they have not played at that level since they were last relegated in 2013. They have won the Copa del Rey six times, 1963–64 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 1994–95 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, amongst other trophies. Traditionally, their team colours are white shirts and socks with royal blue shorts. A government survey in 2007 found that 2.7% of the Spanish population support Real Zaragoza, making them the seventh-most supported in the country. Canário
Darcy Silveira dos Santos (born 24 May 1934), known as Canário, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a forward. During nine seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 175 matches and 45 goals, most notably while with Real Madrid and Zaragoza. He won eight major titles with the two clubs combined. Club career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Canário played for Olaria Atlético Clube and America Football Club in his country. In 1959, he moved to Spain where he would remain until his retirement, starting with Real Madrid and being used mainly as a backup during his three-year spell. He appeared in five games and scored one goal for the club in the European Cup, three of those matches being in the 1959–60 edition which ended in victory. The 1940–41 La Liga was the tenth season since its establishment. Atlético Aviación retained the title. Format changes Due to the expansion of the league to 14 teams for the next season, the two last qualified teams, instead of being directly relegated to Segunda División, faced the third and fourth qualified teams in a single-game play-off match.
