Northwich Victoria F.C.
Northwich Victoria Football Club are a semi-professional football club based in Northwich, Cheshire, which compete in the . They play home games at Barton Stadium, in a groundshare agreement with nearby rivals Winsford United. They had played at the same Drill Field ground between 1875 and 2002, which was at the time of its demolition was believed to be the oldest ground in the world on which football had been continuously played. They played at the short-lived Victoria Stadium between 2005 and 2011, and have since been forced to share grounds with nearby clubs. The original club was founded in 1874, and named in honour of the then-reigning monarch, Queen Victoria. They won the first six Cheshire Senior Cup finals in the competition's history. Barton Stadium (Winsford)
Barton Stadium is an Association football stadium on Wharton Road/ Kingsway, Winsford, Cheshire and is the home to Winsford United F.C. It is also a former Greyhound racing in the United Kingdom, greyhound racing venue. Opening It was originally a basic football ground known as the Great Western Playing Field and located on the south side of Wharton Road and was used by an amateur football team called the Over Wanderers. The ground was developed into a football stadium after World War I. Football The Wanderers changed their name to Winsford and later Winsford United who began life in 1913. Cheshire County League
The Cheshire County League was a football league founded in the north west of England in 1919, drawing its teams largely from Cheshire, surrounding English counties and North Wales. Initially the league was dominated by the reserve teams of Football League clubs, but as the Central League became established for these teams, the non-league clubs won every title after 1938. The outbreak of World War II in 1939 led to the league being split into Eastern and Western sections, with the winners of each playing for the overall championship in 1939–40, with the league then closing down for the duration of the combat until restarting in 1945. In 1968 the league lost several clubs to the newly formed Northern Premier League. A druid was a member of the high-ranking priestly class in ancient Celtic cultures. The druids were religious leaders as well as legal authorities, adjudicators, lorekeepers, medical professionals and political advisors. Druids left no written accounts. The Widnes Vikings are an English rugby league club in Widnes, Cheshire, which competes in the RFL Championship, Betfred Championship. The club plays home matches at DCBL Stadium.
