Mayuri (film)
''Mayuri'' () is a 1985 Indian Telugu language, Telugu-language biographical film, biographical dance film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Ramoji Rao. Based on the life of Sudha Chandran, the film stars her in the title role while P. L. Narayana, Nirmalamma, Y. Vijaya, Potti Prasad, K. K. Sharma, S. R. Raju and Suthi Veerabhadra Rao played supporting roles. The film was premiered at the 1985 10th International Film Festival of India, 10th IFFI, and retrospectively at the 45th International Film Festival of India, 45th IFFI in the Celebrating Dance in Indian cinema section. The film won 14 Nandi Awards the most by any other Telugu cinema, Telugu film. It was dubbed into Malayalam and Tamil language, Tamil as ''Mayoori'', and remade as ''Naache Mayuri'' (1986) in Hindi. ''Maya'' is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir horror film written and directed by Ashwin Saravanan and produced by Potential Studios. The film features Nayanthara in her 50th film along with Aari Arujunan in the lead roles, while Lakshmi Priya and Amzath Khan play supporting roles. The music was composed by Ron Ethan Yohann with cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by T. S. Suresh. The film released on 17 September 2015 to positive reviews and was one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2015. It has been regarded as one of the best horror films of Tamil cinema. Mayoori (1983–2005), credited as Shalini in Tamil films, was an Indian actress who appeared in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films from 1998 to 2005. Mayuri Upadhya
Mayuri Upadhya (born 30 December 1979) is an Indian choreographer, dancer, entrepreneur and TV personality based in Bengaluru, India. She is also the Artistic Director of the Bengaluru-based dance organisation, Nritarutya. In January 2018, Mayuri was voted the Best Choreographer by BroadwayWorld, for the longest running musical in Indian history. Mayuri is the winner of the International Choreography Award, Seoul, Uday Shankar Awards for Choreography, and a Manav Ratna for her contribution to Indian arts and culture, in addition to numerous other awards. Mayuri Kurotsuchi
is a fictional character in the Bleach anime and manga created by Tite Kubo. He is the current captain of the 12th Division of the Gotei 13 and overseer of the Soul Reapers' Research and Development Institute. History 110 years prior to the series, Mayuri was an inmate in the Maggots Nest, the only one dangerous enough to be chained behind bars for his utter lack of regard for life when it comes to experimentation.
