Marcin Przemysław Lewandowski (Polish pronunciation: ; born 13 June 1987) is a Polish retired middle-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 1500 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and silver in the same event at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. At the European Athletics Championships, Lewandowski claimed gold in the 800 metres in 2010 and silvers in 2016 and 2018 for the 800 m and 1500 m respectively. He took also five medals at the European Indoor Championships, including three golds between 2015 and 2019, and two silvers in 2011 and 2021. Lewandowski won gold and silver medals in the 800 m at the 2007 and 2009 European Under-23 Championships. Marcin Wicha (1972 – 24 January 2025) was a Polish graphic designer, children's author, and essayist. Background Wicha was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1972, to a family of Jewish origin. He was the son of Piotr Wicha (1946–2006), an architect, and his wife, Joanna Rabanowska-Wicha (1946–2015); the grandson of Jan Rabanowski from his mother's side, a politician and minister of communications of Poland during the Communist period, and of Władysław Wicha from his father's side, who served as Minister of Interior. Wicha died on 24 January 2025, at the age of 52. Marcin of Urzędów (, ; ca. 1500–1573) was a Polish Roman Catholic priest, physician, pharmacist and botanist known especially for his ''Herbarz polski'' ("Polish Herbal"). Marcin, son of Szymon, was born in Urzędów, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. From 1517 to 1525, he studied at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. After graduation, he stayed at the university as a lecturer in physics, mathematics, logic and philosophy. He became the head of the university's '' Collegium Minus'' (Minor College) in 1529 and was named dean in 1533, the same year when he was ordained priest. Marcin Świetlicki (born 24 December 1961) is a Polish poet, writer, and musician. He lives and works in Kraków, Poland. Marcin Rożek
Marcin Rożek (8 November 1885 – 19 May 1944) was a Polish sculptor and painter and co-founder and professor at the School of Decorative Arts in Poznań. Rożek is most closely associated with the region of Greater Poland and the city of Poznań, in particular, although he was a well-established and highly regarded artist throughout Poland during the 1920s and 1930s. Imprisoned by the Nazis in 1941, he was transported to Auschwitz concentration camp, where he died of exhaustion in 1944. Marcin Odlanicki Poczobutt (; 30 October 1728 near Grodno, Grodno – 7 February 1810 in Daugavpils) was a Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, Polish–Lithuanian Jesuit, astronomer and mathematician. Marcin Patrzałek (; born October 6, 2000), known mononymously as Marcin, is a Polish percussive fingerstyle guitarist, composer, and producer.
